Sydney Is Hiding 35,000 Bats | The Wild Side
Every evening, tens of thousands of bats fly out from the middle of Sydney.
In the first episode of ‘The Wild Side’, I visit the grey-headed flying fox camp in Centennial Park to witness the extraordinary fly-out. I also spot a black flying fox, film a male marking his territory, and talk about the importance of grey-headed flying foxes to ecosystems as vital seed dispersers and pollinators.
